Description
Stargirl, a new tenth grader, arrives at school and causes a sensation. She plays the ukulele, wears crazy outfits, and has a pet mouse. She is endlessly kind and seemingly carefree. After social ups and downs, Stargirl finds companionship when Leo falls for her. But Leo cannot stop thinking about what the other kids are saying, and convinces Stargirl to become 'normal.' Eventually he sees that 'normal' is simply not who Stargirl is.
