Description
While the narrator (Calcetines) is cleaning his neighbor's (Enola) chimney, he finds the skeleton of a bird with a message attached to its foot. It dates back to the 1940s and was sent by Enola's love telling her where to meet him. Obviously she never received the note and was never reunited with him.
