Description
A young teacher is sent deep into the Amazon for her first job. Her prize possessions are her books. One morning, her students tell her that the Great Serpent is upset and she must go to higher ground. She dismisses this as just a legend, but heeds their advice. Later on, she learns the importance of legends and sees how the community comes together to help her recoup what she has lost.
