Free from the nightmare of Coldthistle Castle, Louisa and her friends have a new place in London. Evil is everywhere, religious fanatics are in the city, and chilling notes begin to appear on Louisa's door. With the diabolical influence of her father's spirit growing stronger, she knows she will soon have to choose a side in the coming war. Desperate to save herself, she is willing to do anything. That includes returning to Coldthistle and making a new deal with Mr. Morningside. To do her part, she will have to reunite with her supernatural team and venture into the portal between the worlds known as the Tomb of Ancients.
