Adelina Amouteru is a survivor of the blood fever that devastated Kenettra. The children who did not die were left with strange markings. Adelina's black hair turned white and she has a terrible scar where her left eye used to be. Her father thinks she is an abomination that will ruin the family name. It is rumored that those who survived possess mysterious powers and they are known as the Young Elites. Teren Santoro works for the king. As the leader of the Inquisition Axis, it is his job to find the Young Elites and destroy them. Enzo Valenciano is a member of a secret sect of the Young Elites known as the Dagger Society.
