Description
When Ruthie Mizrahi moves with her family from Cuba to the lively streets of New York, she has a lot to take in: new scenery, new sounds, and a new language. Just as she is adapting, becoming fluent in English, and has made new friends, she gets hurt in a car accident and is put in a body cast. She is bedridden for months. All sorts of interesting people come to visit her, bringing stories and gifts. Maybe, things will turn out okay after all.
