Description
Sam Collier is nothing back in London. When he becomes a page to Captain John Smith and sets sail for the New World, he cannot believe his good luck. It turns out, the New World is nothing like he expected. The coast of Virginia is beautiful and treacherous and it's hard to tell friend from foe. The summer of 1607 brings a mysterious disease, and the winter brings famine. After learning the Algonquin language and observing Captain Smith's diplomacy, Sam realizes he can reinvent himself in this new land.
