Description
This Zapotec legend from Oaxaca, Mexico tells the story of a woman so beautiful that the river falls in love with her. While most of the people in the town revere her, others fear her and drive her away. Much to their surprise, the river goes with her, turning the lush area into an arid wasteland. The people then see the error of their ways and must convince her to return.
